How to Replace Your Mustang’s Door Panels

Replacing a Foxbody door panel is essentially a four-step process:

1. Gather the right tools and supplies: For most panel replacement projects, you’ll need a Phillips-head screwdriver, short- and long flathead screwdrivers, plastic door panel clips and a small metal pick.
2. Remove the existing door panel: Pry away all covers and lights, remove the mounting screws and remove your old door panel from the vehicle.
3. Install the new panel: Start by inserting the panel into the top of the window seal and pushing it into place before reinstalling the mounting screws and plastic covers around the replacement.
4. Check the door: Turn the ignition on and make sure that the power windows, locks, switches and other components are functioning correctly.
